We haven't covered much of the women's basketball team this year for obvious reasons, but there is one bright spot on the team and that is true freshmen Brandi Brown. This past season Brown led the entire Horizon League in rebounds per game (10.8 rpg) and lead all HL freshmen in scoring at 11.6 ppg.
Anthony Paneech, who runs Paneech.com, wrote an editorial lashing out at the Horizon League for not giving Brandi Brown the Horizon League Newcomer of the Year Award this season. He makes some valid points as to why Brown was robbed of the award.
